The work - Knowledge Will Save the World
The work ‘Knowledge Will Save the World’ is concerned with the questions of knowledge of modern man. We know that the learning through electronic and digital media, courses, and workshops is more and more present and easier, and that it becomes an alternative of education world wide.
The stress is on the human aspiration to show the continuity of desire to get to the perfect human being. The clown (the nose and painted lips) symbolize laughter, joy and life, because of the gained insights, but since life itself is not just happiness, ‘these clowns’ symbolize moments of deep sadness, as well.
Daliborka Đurić
A part of a text from a catalogue: ‘…As an emblem of the jubilee and final word of this review, there dominates a parodic galamatias of meaning by Daliborka Djuric. The bilingual community of the fine embroidery and the canvas makes a grotesque ambiance for the embodiment of a caricature world of an intellectual. The absent and the indifferent are denied of the central event aimed at the observer: a smiling woman clown who points at the book covers with the title THE ART OF THE DIGITAL AGE…’
